It is almost Summer ! My daughter had the last day in her elementary school yesterday . I still can't believe that she is going to be in Middle school next year. She was just a baby yesterday and today she is almost a young lady ! How I wish I could just freeze time.
While talking to her a couple of days back, I was reminding that she has only a couple more days left as a 5th grader. She started, "Oh yeah, I will be in Middle school for next 3 years and then in High School for 4 years and after that I will be in College". I said "Whoa, slow down young lady, not so fast. I am trying to digest the fact that you are going to be in middle school, when the school reopens next fall and you are already talking about college !" So is our kids, they just want to grow big (and less adorable!)
This mint is from our garden. I have two varieties growing like weeds and my daughter helps me pick them when they overgrow crazy, crushing down the flowering plants near them. I am still not sure what kind of mint they are,but that doesn't stop me from using them.I just know that they taste great in my drinks and biryani !
My lil guy is graduating from preschool next week ! He is super excited about it and insisted that both mom and dad should be there to see him receiving his certificate. His sister is glad that school is closed and she could also attend the small function. But his 'acha" may not be quite excited since his schedules are quite tight because of our forthcoming trip to India.
I am getting extremely busy these days, with shopping and packing for India trip. I will try to keep this page as lively as possible. If I am not responding to your queries or comments fast enough, please bear with me.
Mercury level is soaring high everywhere and I'm sure you all need something like this lemonade, while you relax after doing your favorite activity during this long week end.Do you have any special plans for this week end ? Have a great week end everyone !

ReplyDeleteYou are blessed with two adorable kids! I'm sure she will enjoy being a "pixie" and he will have a blast as a kindergartner!
The lemonade is perfect for the weather we've had but did you smell the rain? Bliss! You will get much more of it in India though - real rain ;-D
